Born as Benjamin Anthony Edward Stevens Adams, 22 November 1981, in Middlesex, UK, was known as one quarter of the internationally successful boyband A1.He attended Bedales School which he left after his GCSEs at 16 to join Charterhouse School before which Westminster Under School, where he was head chorister of the school choir and of St. Margaret's Choir of Westminster Abbey, after winning a scholarship. After a couple of years writing, Adams made a comeback with a new solo recording contract. He is currently working on an album. His first solo single, "Sorry", reached #18 on the UK Singles Chart in June 2005. As well as writing for himself, Ben as turned his attention to writing and producing for other artists, some already established and a handful of up and coming acts both here and in the US. He co-wrote the Lisa Scott-Lee single "Electric". He has also co-wrote a song called "Get Off My Girl" with Har Mar Superstar. He has his own recording studio situated in Battersea Park called Parkbench Studios. He is currently the creative director behind a new band, project name Girl Band 2007. Since the band announced their split Ben has been in discussions with a number of major record labels and was recently snapped up by the Phonogenic record label (part of Sony & BMG).
